2004 NFL Playoff Predictions
2004 Playoff
Predictions
by Mike Jones
With only a few more weeks left in the
regular NFL season, we can start making predictions as to who will be hanging
around during the post season and which of the teams will make an early exit.
Miami, San Francisco, Washington,
Cleveland and Kansas City are probably already packing their bags. New England,
Philadelphia, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, San Diego and Indianapolis are no doubt
preparing for the playoffs with impressive records at press time.
Guessing who will be the winner of the
Super Bowl is a tough call but we might stand a better chance of predicting who
will participate in the Super Bowl by reviewing the two conferences.

Our NFL playoff predictions have
Philadelphia, Atlanta, Green Bay and possibly Minnesota entering the post season
in the NFC. New England, Pittsburgh, New York Jets, San Diego and Indianapolis
are likely candidates for the AFC.
These NFL playoff predictions take on a
whole new meaning when coupled with pay out odds provided by Sports
Interaction. Because New England is an all out favorite in the AFC, teams like
San Diego and the Jets offer significant payout odds, 11.00 and 17.00
respectively. Pittsburgh is being taken seriously with a price tag of 2.80,
just shy of New England's 2.50.

Normally we can base our NFL playoff
predictions on current standings and streaks. We can also review all the
betting lines to determine which teams the offshore bookies like Sports
Interaction believe will take home the prize.
The following teams are light years
ahead of their colleagues:
These somewhat low payout odds still
reflect a degree of value. After all, a bet of $1000 on the Patriots would
translate into a $3500 profit. These numbers are even stronger with Pittsburgh,
which could un-seed the Patriots.
Anything can happen between now and the
end of the season, thus these NFL playoff predictions are just
that.....predictions.
