There are five championship events: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Woman's Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
Roger Federer defeated Andre Agassi to win the Men's 2005 US Open. Kim Clijsters defeated Mary Pierce to win the Women's Title. Two-time Champion Andre Agassi is playing in his 21st consecutive US Open and this will be his final tournament.
