After going undefeated for the regular season last season, the New England Patriots were the early favorites to win the 2009 Super Bowl at +350 betting odds, but slid to +2500 once Brady was out for the season, then never made the playoffs. Heading into the Conference Championship game, the Pittsburgh Steelers were the current favorites to win posting +150 odds, but now that they made it into the big game they are the overwhelming favorites with -230 odds (
a $230 wager pays out $100). Everyone who bet on the Cardinals when they were posting +3000 odds are now sitting pretty since they are the other team to make it into Super Bowl XLIII posting odds at +190 (
a $100 wager pays out $190).
