2010 NFL Week 13 Predictions St Louis Rams vs Arizona Cardinals

Sam Bradford Rams Quarterback

2010 NFL Week 13 Predictions - Bet Rams vs Cardinals - Sunday, December 5th, 4:15PM ET FOX

The 2010 NFL week 13 predictions on the NFL football 2010 season are out on the St Louis Rams vs the Arizona Cardinals Sunday late afternoon football match-up. This Sunday the St Louis Rams head to University of Phoenix Stadium as a 3 point favorite to battle their NFC West rival Arizona Cardinals.

The St Louis Rams offense vs the Arizona Cardinals defense is a little even. The Rams are 26th in both yards and points, while the Cardinals are 29th in yards allowed and 31st in points allowed. The Cardinals cannot defend the run, 31st in rushing defense, which goes well with the Rams and one of the best running backs in the league in Steven Jackson. Look for him to get a lot of carries. What the Rams do well is not turn the ball over, only 13 turnovers. The Rams rookie quarterback Sam Bradford has been playing well, and look for him to continue doing that. 2010 NFL week 13 predictions advantage goes to the Rams.

The Arizona Cardinals offense vs the St Louis Rams defense favors the Rams. The Cardinals are 31st in yards and 29th in points, while the Rams are 18th in yards allowed and 14th in points allowed. You would think that since the Cardinals have one of the best receivers in the league, Larry Fitzgerald that the passing game would be their strong point, but they are 31st in passing. They also cannot run the ball, 31st in rushing. Now that I think about it, they can't do anything on offense. There's nothing that they do that is good. Meanwhile the Rams defense is surprisingly good. They are 13th in rushing defense, which isn't bad for this team, 5th in sacks, and they are 4th in stopping their opponents on 3rd down. NFL predictions advantage goes to the Rams.

The special teams are. The Rams are 28th in kickoff return average and 13th in punt return average, while the Cardinals are 5th in kickoff return average but are 30th in punt return average. The Rams are 25th in kickoff return average allowed and 16th in punt return average allowed, while the Cardinals are 24th in kickoff return average allowed and punt return average allowed. The one part in this matchup that will do something is the Cardinals kickoff return game. They have a great returner in LaRod Stephens-Howling who has returned a couple of kickoffs for touchdowns. The 2010 NFL week 13 predictions advantage goes to the Cardinals.

Both teams have two good defensive coaching minds that learned from 2 great coaches. The head coach for the Rams Steve Spagnuolo came from one of the best defensive minded coaches in Jim Johnson who was the defensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles. His defensive schemes were the best schemes anyone has came up with, and now Steve Spagnuolo has brought those over to this Rams defense who are executing them very well. Meanwhile, the Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt was the offensive coordinator for Bill Cowher who was the head coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has brought in the mean and physical atmosphere to this Cardinals team. The only issue is that the Cardinals are not physical enough and are not playing like what Ken Whisenhunt wants them to be playing like, which is why the advantage goes to the Rams coaching staff.

My 2010 NFL week 13 predictions on the St Louis Rams vs Arizona Cardinals Sunday late afternoon football game are out. The Cardinals can't do anything on offense. The only offense they have is Larry Fitzgerald. The best thing to do is to just throw the ball up to him and let him make a play on it. The Cardinals only hope is their special teams. They have to score at least a touchdown in order for them to have a chance. The Rams are going to pressure the quarterback all game long and will get a bunch of turnovers. The Rams win this one 19-10.
