2010 NFL Week 14 Picks - Bet Ravens vs Texans - Monday, December 13th, 8:30PM ET ESPN

The 2010 NFL week 14 picks on the NFL betting season are out on the Baltimore Ravens vs the Houston Texans Monday Night Football match-up. This Monday the Baltimore Ravens head to Reliant Stadium as a 3 point favorite to battle their AFC West rival Houston Texans.

The Baltimore Ravens offense vs the Houston Texans defense favor the Ravens. The Ravens are 14th in yards and 17th in points, while the Texans are 29th in yards allowed and 27th in points allowed. The Texans can't stop anyone in the passing game, last in passing defense. The Ravens 15th ranked passing offense will be throwing the ball the whole time. The passing game will open up the running game, and the Ravens have a great running back in Ray Rice. The 2010 NFL week 14 picks advantage goes to the Ravens.

The Houston Texans offense vs the Baltimore Ravens defense is a great matchup. The Texans are 7th in yards and 11th in points, while the Ravens are 7th in yards allowed and 4th in points allowed. Every part of this matchup is going to be great to watch. The Houston Texans have arguably the best running back this year in Arian Foster, and he will be going up against this 6th ranked rushing defense. Also, the 10th ranked passing offense against the 11th ranked passing defense. There is one thing that will decide who the advantage will go to. The Ravens don't get that many turnovers and the Texans do not turn the ball over. NFL picks advantage goes to the Texans, but it really could go either way.

The special teams' matchup is a weird matchup. The Ravens are 13th in kickoff return average and 27th in punt return average, while the Texans are 29th in kickoff return average and 28th in punt return average. The Ravens are last in kickoff return average allowed but 10th in punt return average allowed, while the Texans are 16th in kickoff return average allowed and 11th in punt return average allowed. There is no one that is favored in this one. I guess when you look at the special teams' defense, the Texans are better. So I will give the 2010 NFL week 14 picks advantage to the Texans.

I don't think there is any question who has the better coaching staff in this one. The Ravens head coach John Harbaugh came from Andy Reid who is the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. He brought everything he learned to this team and is now playing very well. The Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was the offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers which was one of the best offensive teams when he was there. The Texans head coach Gary Kubiak is a good coach, but I do believe that it is the players that are good which makes his schemes work. They don't change anything up during the game. You know pretty much what the Texans are going to do. Advantage goes to the Ravens.

My 2010 NFL week 14 picks on the Baltimore Ravens vs the Houston Texans Monday Night Football game are out. The Ravens will be scoring points against this defense, but will the Texans be able to score on this defense. The Texans have one of the best receivers in the league, Andre Johnson. In order to win this game, he has to have a good game. He will dictate whether the Texans can run the ball as well. I don't see that happening though. The Ravens win this one 27-17.
