2010 NFL Week 15 Picks - Bet Packers vs Patriots - Sunday, December 19th, 8:20PM ET NBC

The 2010 NFL week 15 picks on the Pro football season are out on the Green Bay Packers vs the New England Patriots Sunday Night Football match-up. This Sunday the Green Bay Packers head to Gillette Stadium as a 7 1/2 point underdog to battle the New England Patriots.

The Green Bay Packers offense vs the New England Patriots defense favor the Packers. The Packers are 11th in yards and points, while the Patriots are 27th in yards allowed and 17th in points allowed. The Patriots have been playing great as of late, but they still give up the 2nd to most passing yards in the league, which is great for this 8th ranked passing offense. Look for the Packers to throw the ball a lot in this game. I would be careful if you are the Packers because the Patriots are 2nd best team in interceptions. The quarterback of the Packers Aaron Rodgers is too good and he will make sure he doesn't throw interceptions. The 2010 NFL week 15 picks advantage goes to the Packers.

The New England Patriots offense vs the Green Bay Packers defense is a great matchup. The Patriots are 8th in yards and number 1 in points, while the Packers are 9th in yards allowed and number 1 in points allowed. Everything in this matchup is very even and very good in each part of this matchup. The Packers are 5th in getting pressure on the quarterback, while the Patriots are 6th in protecting the quarterback. The Packers are 3rd in getting interceptions, while the Patriots give up the fewest turnovers. The 1 weakness in the Packers defense is their rushing defense, 19th in rushing defense. Expect the Patriots to run the ball well which will bring the Packers defenders in close which will open up the passing game. And there is no one better to execute the passing game better than Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. 2010 NFL picks advantage goes to the Patriots.

The special teams favor the Patriots. The Packers are 27th in kickoff return average and 23rd in punt return average, while the Patriots are 20th in kickoff return average and 6th in punt return average. The Packers are 15th in kickoff return average allowed and 26th in punt return average allowed, while the Patriots are 18th in kickoff return average allowed and 9th in punt return average allowed. I am giving the 2010 NFL week 15 picks advantage to the Patriots because of their punting game on both sides of the ball. They don't give up field position and they get good field position.

Both teams have two great coaching minds. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy and defensive coordinator Dom Capers has the offensive and defensive schemes to counterattack anything that their opponents will show them. They also have Aaron Rodgers who controls the Packers offense. The Patriots have probably one of the greatest coaching minds in history, Bill Belichick. He always finds the weakness in each team and attacks it. He is the best at making adjustments during games. He also has one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Tom Brady. This is a very good matchup, but I will always take Bill Belichick and Tom Brady over any other coaching staff. Advantage goes to the Patriots.

My 2010 NFL week 15 picks on the Green Bay Packers vs New England Patriots Sunday Night Football game are out. What a great matchup this is. The Patriots will always find a weakness in their opponent, and they will attack it. The Packers weakness is their running defense. Expect the Patriots to run the ball a lot. The Patriots defense is playing a lot better these past few games. They have a young defense that thrives off of turnovers. We don't know if Packers quarterback Aaron Rodger is going to play with his concussion last week. If he plays, than the Packers shouldn't have a problem with turnovers and will be scoring a lot of points. If he can't play, the Patriots are going to dominate on defense. I am going to predict as if Aaron Rodgers is playing. I believe that it will be a great game that will determine which defense will make that big play at the end of the game to win it for their team. I just believe that the Patriots offense is just too good to not make that big turnover at the end of the game. The Patriots are going to win this one 38-34.
