ACC Conference - Duke Blue Devils Preview
The Duke Blue Devils have found their skill positions of the future which is the only bright spot following an embarrassing 1-10 season. Coach Ted Roof is counting on some new rookies to make the big plays to stay competitive. The re-vamped O-Line is the key to the Offense having a good year. The Playmakers did their part throughout 2005, and pivot Zack Asack was solid in his six starts throwing for 966 yards. The RB corps is deep behind him which provides some much needed balance after losing three WR's. Duke will need to improve on its 16 PPG last season, and it should if the front line proves stable.

On the defense, the Duke Blue Devils were rocked for 400+ YPG and 37 PPG. Seven starters will return to the D, and the front line gets a boost with their best DL prospect ever in Vince Oghobaase.

They will also showcase new talent at LB and in the secondary, and should really improve on last year's numbers if they can avoid injuries. It is no surprise that Duke will have a rough season in this difficult conference. Their schedule is very tough, but their overall play should be better. They're still the cellar of the ACC, but at least they'll be more competitive in this season.
