During the off-season, the Mountaineers had one player commitment, DT Anthony Wilson. Quarterback Armanti Edwards finished last season completing 167 passes on 274 attempts for 2251 yards with 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Kevin Richardson led in rushing with 302 carries for 1676 yards and William Mayfield led in receiving with 64 receptions for 1129 yards.
