2011 Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl Predictions

The Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl predictions for the 2010-2011 Pro Football season are out. The Falcons remain in the hunt for the Super Bowl XLV championship title posting 5/1 odds. They are set to host the lower seed in the 2nd round of the playoffs next week.

The Atlanta Falcons offense is a great offense. They have a good running game with running back Michael Turner who was 3rd in the league in rushing yards. They also have a great passing game with receiver Roddy White and tight end Tony Gonzalez. They are 3rd in protecting the quarterback, and they don't turn the ball over. There are no weak spots in this offense which favors the Falcons Super Bowl predictions.

The Atlanta Falcons defense is a defense that gives up yards, but don't give up points. They are 16th in yards allowed but 5th in points allowed. They are a defense that just gets interceptions. They can stop the run, 10th in rushing yards, but they do have a problem stopping the pass, 22nd in passing defense, but they have a good pass rusher in John Abraham who is 5th in sacks.

The special teams are good for the Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl predictions. They are number 1 in kickoff return average and 5th in punt return average. They are also 9th in kickoff return average allowed and 13th in punt return average allowed. They have a dynamic returner in Eric Weems who is very explosive and is always a threat to returning one for a big yardage.

The head coach of the Falcons Mike Smith lets his quarterback Matt Ryan change plays on the fly and do what he wants on offense. The Falcons offense looks like the Indianapolis Colts' offense as far as doing no huddles, and Matt Ryan looking like Colts quarterback Peyton Manning when it comes to changing plays at the line of scrimmage (don't worry, I'm not actually comparing the 2, but just saying what the offense looks like).

Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl Predictions

This team has it all. They have a great offense and a good enough defense to make it in the playoffs. They run the ball well and they stop the run fairly well. They do have an issue with their passing defense, but as long as they continue to get interceptions, they shouldn't have any problems. The other thing they have going for them is that they have home field advantage, which ever since quarterback Matt Ryan started for this team a few years ago, he lost just 2 home games. They have a great chance to at least making the Super Bowl, and possibly winning the Super Bowl. The odds of them winning are 5-1.
