Bet on the Indy Racing League - 2006 Driver Point StandingsThe Indy Racing League (IRL) betting odds are posted on 1800-sports weeks before every race. The Driver Point Standings are also updated after every race. The IRL is a predominantly American based open-wheel racing series. The famous Indianapolis 500 is the centerpiece of the Indy Racing League. The series originally raced exclusively on oval tracks; however in 2004 the IRL announced three road-racing events. A street race in St. Petersburg, Florida and two road courses, at Watkins Glen International in New York and Infineon Raceway in California. The IRL has grown drastically over the past 10 years. In the beginning there were only a few races a year and mostly unknown racers. Today there are 14 races a year and the drivers are performing better.
