BetUS.com Posts Odds On Who Will Replace Paul Tagliabue
March 23rd, New YorkThe NFL has experienced labor harmony and unprecedented riches during Paul Tagliabue's tenure as commissioner. His time at the post now looks to be over. Tagliabue has been in charge since 1989, when he succeeded Pete Rozelle, and agreed last March to stay. He completed this journey a little more than a week ago, and it has been reported that he will retire in July.
With the 65-year-old commissioner stepping down after 16 years, people can't help but speculate as to who will be his replacement. So far names have ranged from Condoleeza Rice to John Madden. As a result the most respected sportsbook on the web has weighed in with odds and predictions on who will step into the NFL's commissioner office.
"'Tags' has done a phenomenal job as the NFL's commissioner," states
BetUS.com spokesperson Matt Ross, "And it will be interesting to see if the league continues to run as a well-oiled machine after he leaves. Whoever fills the void will certainly be stepping into some pretty big shoes."
