Football Betting System

Football betting systems make the entire betting set-up for the sport look professional and organized. One cannot argue the importance football has as a game, across the universe. The football betting systems used most often are on the lines of money line or the point spread. There are other football betting systems like proposition bets, parlays and future wagers which are also quite famous.

Let's look at the money line form of wager. American bookmakers generally use moneylines, which pertain to the amount necessary to win $100 on a favorite, or the amount payable for a $100 bet on an underdog. The amount "won" in a bet is the net amount over and above the initial bet. In other words, if a person wins $150 on a bet of $100, the bookmaker actually pays the winner $250 to the bettor.

In American football, you will often see the point spread system of wagering being used. It requires the bettor to risk ten dollars extra on the prize money. The extra ten dollar is the sportsbooks' commission or 'vigorish' in case the bettor loses. The bettors can be declared winners and collect the amount only if the favorite team that they back wins by higher than a specified victory margin set at the time of the wager. People who favor the underdogs can win the betting amount even if their team loses, so long as they cover the points spread by losing few points which are lesser than those quoted by the sportsbook.

There are other kinds of football betting systems like the over/unders, the parlays, the proposition bets and the future wagers. In the 'over/unders' the wager involves the combined total score between the particpating teams in the football match. For example let's assume that the total score in a football match comes to 40 points. If the total score is more than 40, the bettor who chose 'over' will win and in case of the score being less than 40, the one who chose 'under' is the winner.

Proposition bets are football betting systems used for wagers directed at the specific outcome of the match. It is played like a contest wherein a bettor has to guess who will score the maximum number of goals in the match, who will get the most red cards, who will be the player of the season etc.

Parlays are multiple bets where successful bettors are rewarded with a huge payout. A bettor could participate in five different wagers in five different parlays where he is betting that all five bets will win. If any of the five teams loses, he loses the parlay. If all five win, then he will receive an envious amount as payout which in any case, is larger if he had made individual wagers.

Future wagers include a future accomplishment by a team or a player for an upcoming series or season. Odds for these kinds of bet are expressed in a ratio of units paid to units wagered. For example let's assume that a certain team wagered upon 25-1 to win the world cup quarter finals. This would mean that the bet will offer 25 times the amount if the team actually manages to reach the quarter finals.

Run line, goal line or puck line bets are wagers offered as substitutes to moneyline prices in football. These bets have a fixed point spread that gives a higher payout for the favorite and a lower one for the underdog. Choose the best football betting systems that you are comfortable and start betting with confidence!
