These two hurlers faced off against a short 11 days ago, and the Mets got the best of the visiting Rockies by a 6-3 count. Trax went 7 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 runs, and the Mets knocked Kim out of the game in the 5th after he allowed 6 runs and 8 hits while striking out 1 and walking 3 Met batters. I'm looking for more of the same tonight as the Mets are simply the cream of the crop in the NL, while the Rockies are an up and coming squad in the very mediocre NL West. It seems the only teams the Rockies can beat of late reside in the NL West as their three wins in their L/10 games were against the D'Backs and Padres whom they just took two of three from over the weekend. The Mets are leaps and bounds better than San Diego, and BK Kim's junk hasn't fooled many teams considering he's dropped his L/4 starts. He has performed better at home this year, but the Mets are one of the better road teams in all of baseball this year as evidenced by the 37-26 mark they've put forth this season. Regardless of how good or bad the Mets have been the last five years or so, they've dominated the Rox to the tune of a 19 wins and 7 losses the L/26 times these teams have met. Look for more of that dominance to occur tonight as the Mets rally behind Trachsel and pick him up his 14th win of the season.
