The Atlanta Falcons defeated the New England Patriots 26 - 23. Atlanta Falcons kicker Michael Koenen nailed four long field goals including a 40 yarder as time ran out to give them the victory. Rookie quarterback D.J. Shockley from the Georgia Bulldogs put on an impressive fourth quarter debut.
