2011 NFL Playoff Picks - Bet Saints vs Seahawks - Saturday, January 8th, 4:30pm EST NBC

The 2011 NFL Playoff picks on the NFL football betting season are out on the New Orleans Saints vs Seattle Seahawks Saturday late afternoon football match-up. This Saturday the New Orleans Saints head to Qwest Field as a 10 1/2 point favorite to battle the Seattle Seahawks.

The New Orleans Saints offense vs the Seattle Seahawks defense favor the Saints. The Saints are 6th in yards and 11th in points, while the Seahawks are 27th in yards allowed and 25th in points allowed. the Seahawks do play better at home, which this game is. Most teams throw the ball against this defense in which they are 27th in passing defense. this is great for this offense in which they are 3rd in passing offense. Expect the Saints to have a big game in the passing game. 2011 NFL Playoff picks advantage goes to the Saints no question about it.

The Seattle Seahawks offense vs the New Orleans defense also favor the Saints. The Seahawks are 28th in yards and 23rd in points, while the Saints are 4th in yards allowed and 7th in points allowed. the Saints are very good against the pass, 4th in passing defense, and there is no way the Seahawks 19th ranked passing offense is going to do anything in the passing game. the only way they will be able to do anything on offense is to run the ball against a poor 16th ranked rushing defense. the problem is that the Seahawks the 2nd worst rushing team in the league. 2011 NFL picks advantage goes to the Saints

The special teams this time favor the Seahawks. The Saints are 15th in kickoff return average and 23rd in punt return average, while the Seahawks are 10th in kickoff return average and 9th in punt return average. the Saints are 24th in kickoff return average allowed and 28th in punt return average allowed, while the Seahawks are 14th in kickoff return average allowed and 19th in punt return average allowed. the Seahawks have the big advantage in the return game and should be able to do well in this game. 2011 NFL Playoff picks advantage goes to the Seahawks.

Both teams have two good coaching minds. Saints head coach Sean Payton has his team clicking at the right time. Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has done a great job with this defense. Also, it does help when you have a coach on the field as well, and that's what Drew Brees is. The head coach for the Seahawks is Pete Carroll. He was the coach of USC college football team, and was great at it. He brings a college type atmosphere in this team. It's a good thing because college like is wilding up the team, and since this game is at home, he also wilds up the fans. I will give the advantage to the Saints because of the experience factor of just being here last year and winning it all last year.

My 2011 NFL Playoff picks on the New Orleans Saints vs the Seattle Seahawks Saturday late afternoon football game are out. The Seahawks are going to have a hard time in this game. The Saints will be able to do anything on offense, and should be able to stop the Seahawks offense on defense. there are 2 things that might keep them in the game, the special team game and the home field advantage which is one of the best toughest stadiums for opponents to play in. it shouldn't matter because the Saints are just too good to let these 2 things beat them. The Seahawks will be able to do something because the special teams will give them a short field to score, but it won't help that much. The Seahawks starting quarterback might be back, but it won't matter on the outcome. The Saints are just too good for this team. the Saints win this game 38-17.
