NFL Playoff Predictions 2011 Wild-Card Ravens vs Chiefs![]() Joe Flacco Ravens Quarterback NFL Playoff Predictions 2011- Bet Ravens vs Chiefs - Sunday, January 9th, 1:00pm EST CBS The NFL Playoff predictions 2011 on the Pro Football season are out on the Baltimore Ravens vs the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday afternoon football match-up. This Sunday the Baltimore Ravens head to Arrowhead Stadium as a 2 1/2 point favorite to battle the Kansas City Chiefs. The Baltimore Ravens offense vs the Kansas City Chiefs defense is a good matchup, but favors the Chiefs. The Ravens are 22nd in yards and 16th in points, while the Chiefs are 14th in yards allowed and 11th in points allowed. The Ravens have been running the ball more as of late, which they should've been doing this whole season. When they run the ball more than pass, they are a lot better on offense and they win most games. The Chiefs are vulnerable in the passing game, 17th in passing defense, but the Ravens aren't that good in the passing game as it is. They give up a lot of sacks. This goes well for a young defense that when they get to the quarterback, they get more motivated and they make more plays on defense. As long as the Ravens continue to run the ball, they should be fine. But if they are not running well, they could be in trouble. The NFL Playoff predictions 2011 advantage goes to the Chiefs. The Kansas City Chiefs offense vs the Baltimore Ravens defense is a great matchup. The Chiefs are 12th in yards and 14th in points, while the Ravens are 10th in yards allowed and 3rd in points allowed. The big matchup of this whole game is the number 1 rushing offense against the 5th ranked rushing defense. Something has to give, and we know that the Chiefs are not going to stop running the ball. If I were the Chiefs, since the Ravens are going to try and stop the run, I would do a lot of play action. The Ravens are very vulnerable in the passing game, 21st in passing defense, which goes well for a team that is very good in play action and has one of the best receivers this season in Dwayne Bowe. The last thing I want to point out is that the Ravens don't get pressure on the quarterback, and the Chiefs are very good in protecting the quarterback. The one big thing that the Ravens do well, which in this game gives them the NFL predictions 2011 advantage, is stopping their opponents from scoring touchdowns. The special teams are a little interesting. The Ravens are 6th in kickoff return average but 24th in punt return average, while the Chiefs are 28th in kickoff return average and 17th in punt return average. The Ravens are last in kickoff return average allowed but 11th in punt return average allowed, while the Chiefs are 6th in kickoff return average allowed and 12th in punt return average allowed. The matchups are a bit even, but the Chiefs are better on special team's defense. The NFL Playoff predictions 2011 advantage goes to the Chiefs. The Ravens head coach John Harbaugh came from Andy Reid who is the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. He brought everything he learned to this team and is now playing very well. The Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was the offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers which was one of the best offensive teams when he was there. This is a great tree of coaching for the Chiefs with Todd Haley, Charlie Weis who is the offensive coordinator, and Romeo Crennel who is the defensive coordinator. Both Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel are one of the 2 bests in what they do, and they have this team playing very well. This is a great matchup, but I will give the advantage to the Ravens because of their defensive schemes and how dynamic they are. My NFL Playoff predictions 2011 on the Baltimore Ravens vs the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday afternoon football game is out. This game is all about the running games. But I do believe that both teams will be passing a little more than usual because each teams' passing defense isn't that good. The Ravens have been running the ball more as of late and have been effective. They should be able to run the ball against this 14th ranked rushing defense. The Ravens shouldn't have an issue on offense. It will be up to the Chiefs offense to counterattack. The issue with the Chiefs is the experience factor. They should be able to be productive on offense, but this is the playoffs. They need to understand that every possession in critical and it will go down to those possessions where the mistakes will be a big factor. The Ravens have been here before, so they know what to expect. This will be a close game, but the Ravens will win this game because of the experience, 23-17. --- by Eric Price at 1800-sports.com on January 04, 2011
