2011-2012 NFL Football Predictions![]() Jets vs Saints NFL Predictions NFL Betting Predictions by JP Finally, the 2011 NFL predictions season kicks off with a flurry of Thursday night games this week. Yes it is only the preseason, but after the summer that we as fans have endured, any football is a relief. Teams have stocked up and others have stayed relatively quiet during the most chaotic free agency period that the league has ever seen. All these moves have shuffled up everyone's football predictions heading into the preseason, but it is yet to be seen how much more the lines will move. The Philadelphia Eagles are the trendy pick after landing Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The Eagles added a few more pieces and are now amongst the favorites to win Super Bowl XLVI. I still think that the Eagles must go through a few teams before we can crown them champions. A lot of people like the Atlanta Falcons, and although I do like them better than Philadelphia because of their front seven, there are two more teams in the NFC that I have finishing ahead of the Falcons and the Eagles. The Green bay Packers are the youngest team in the league and they are getting back Ryan Grant and Jermichael Finley, which makes them even better than they were during the 2010 playoffs. The only reason why I'm not picking the Packers to repeat is because teams rarely do. Check out Bovada and start winning NOW! After predicting multiple Super Bowl winners, expert NFL handicapper Mike "The Picker" Jones has returned with his 2012 Super Bowl XLVI prediction! His early Superbowl prediction was the New York Jets but after them falling apart towards the end of the regular season and missing out on the NFL playoffs, Mike now is going with the Patriots to win Superbowl XLVI. "I predict the AFC East New England Patriots will take down NFC powerhouse New York Giants by four points in the 2012 Super Bowl!" Super Bowl XLVI Picks from JP - The New England Patriots and the New York Giants will meet once again in Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday, February 5th at 6:30pm ET in a rematch of the 2007 Super Bowl. The rematch will go down at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, where the Patriots will take the field as 3-point favorites over the New York Giants, but I have it going the other way. I think New York's defensive front will use the turf to its advantage and will get to Tom Brady enough times with their ferocious pass rush, while Eli Manning will slice up the Patriots' secondary, which will lead them to stop the Patriots at the finish line. The Pats may be the better team, but the Giants are the hotter club and that will translate onto the field on Super Sunday. Many bettors have forgotten about the New Orleans Saints. The Saints finished 11-5 last season, but finished second in the division, forcing them to play their first playoff game on the road and in a wet and cold atmosphere in Seattle. The Saints were upset by the Seahawks, but I truly believe that New Orleans got caught looking beyond the task at hand. This year, the Saints will have one of the best rushing attacks in the league behind Heisman Trophy winner, Mark Ingram, and newly acquired Darren Sproles. That new smash-mouth dimension will give Drew Brees and Sean Payton the diversity that they need on offense to get back to the Super Bowl and is also why my NFL predictions have the New Orleans Saints winning the NFC. In the AFC, the Patriots have made great strides to be the overwhelming NFL picks favorite over the rest of the conference. With the sour taste in their mouths from last year's first-round playoff loss, that might be enough fuel to drive Bill Belichick and company to another trophy. But there is another team in their division that is no longer afraid of them; and that is the New York Jets. The Jets bring back almost the same exact squad from last year, with the exception of Braylon Edwards and Jericho Cotchery, and the addition of Plaxico Burress. This could turn into a great move if Burress comes out playing at the same level that did three years ago. My dark horse pick to win the AFC is coming out of the West. The San Diego Chargers are loaded on both sides of the ball and we can all believe that if they don't get to the big game, Norv Turner is out. Philip Rivers will be one of the top quarterbacks in the league this year and their NFL odds offer great value at 11 to 1. Another QB that will be playing with a chip on his shoulder is Joe Flacco. The Ravens are going to be tough, but their defense is aging, which prevents me from sticking them up near the top. In the end, I think it is going to be the New York Jets (12 to 1) taking on the New Orleans Saints (16 to 1) in Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, with Rex Ryan finally coming through on his third annual Super Bowl guarantee.
