2011 NFL Preseason Picks Week 1![]() Dolphins vs Falcons Preseason Picks 2011 NFL Week One Preseason Picks Now that the NFL Lockout is officially over, we can all look forward to NFL betting and NFL preseason picks week 1. Not many pro football fans bet on the preseason since several starters only play part of the game or sometimes not at all. The home team is usually favored by three points and most of the time they don't even win, so don't go buy into the home field advantage. The 2011 NFL week one preseason picks will be presented by our NFL picks newcomer Jonathan Pou. After surprising us on his NFL predictions over at OnlineSportsHandicapping.com, we decided to bring him on board for the 2011-2012 NFL season. The ravens are listed as +3 point underdogs in this game, but I have the Ravens winning straight up while the Eagles figure out how to best utilize some of their new toys. Friday 7:30pm ET Dolphins vs Falcons (Pick: Falcons -2.5) The Atlanta Falcons are serious Super Bowl contenders and when they face the Miami Dolphins on Friday night, I think that Atlanta will show just how strong they are on defense. Their first, second and third teams are better than Miami's and this one could get ugly. The Falcons are favored by 2.5 points in this game, but I see a bigger margin of victory occurring in this game. Saturday 8:00pm ET Colts vs Rams (Picks: Colts +7) The Indianapolis Colts will be very tough during the regular season, but things will be different when they take the field against the St. Louis Rams on Saturday evening. Peyton Manning will not be active and I think St. Louis will win their opener as they expect some serious progression from the offense this season. Look for St. Louis to win en route to their first preseason win of the season but not cover the one touchdown spread. --- by Mike Jones at 1800-sports.com on August 11, 2011
