So when the Detroit Lions (3-0) head to Orchard Park to play the Buffalo Bills (1-2) on Thursday, September 1st, we may see the Buffalo starters playing against the Lions' backups because the Bills obviously need the work a lot more than Detroit. I'm still going with the Lions as 1.5 point favorites because I think the Lions are finally systematically sound. Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Washington Redskins (Buccaneers +7) Thursday 7:30pm The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1) have not looked as solid as people have expected them to look so far in the 2011 NFL Preseason, but when they head north to face the Washington Redskins on Thursday, I think we will see some gritty football from Tampa Bay. This team has a lot of weapons on offense and should be gaining enough familiarity by now, that they should be able to cover the 7-point spread. They may not win, but they will cover. Tennessee Titans vs New Orleans Saints (Saints -3) Thursday 8:00pm The New Orleans Saints (2-1) flexed their muscles against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday night with a 40-20 victory, but they will now face the Tennessee Titans (1-2) on Thursday night at home. New Orleans actually opened up that big lead against Oakland with their backups and they will do it again this week.
