NFL Week 13 Picks 2010 - Bet Bills vs Vikings - Sunday, December 5th, 1:00PM ET CBS

The NFL week 13 picks 2010 on the NFL football season are out on the Buffalo Bills vs Minnesota Vikings Sunday afternoon football match-up. This Sunday the Buffalo Bills head to the Metrodome as a 6 1/2 point underdog to battle the Minnesota Vikings.

The Buffalo Bills offense vs the Minnesota Vikings favors the Vikings. The Bills are 24th in yards and 20th in points. The Vikings are 9th in yards allowed and 15th in points allowed. The issue with the Vikings is that they don't get many turnovers, which means that there will be opportunities for the Bills. However, the Bills won't be able to run the ball against the 5th best rushing defense, which means that the Bills could only pass the ball, which they are 23rd in passing. The NFL week 13 picks 2010 advantage goes to the Vikings.

The Minnesota Vikings offense vs the Buffalo Bills defense is very interesting. The Vikings are 20th in yards and is a surprising 30th in points, while the Bills are 26th in yards allowed and 29th in points allowed. The interesting part is that the Bills are 11th in passing yards allowed, so they can stop this 20th ranked passing offense. What the Vikings should do in this game is run the ball a lot against the worst team in the league in rushing defense. NFL picks advantage goes to the Vikings.

The special teams are also interesting. The Bills are 12th in kickoff return average and 18th in punt return average. The Vikings are 21st in both kickoff and punt return yards. The Bills give up the 16th most kickoff return yards and are 20th in punt return average allowed. The Vikings are 27th in kickoff return average allowed and 3rd in punt return average allowed. This matchup goes to the Bills for a couple of reasons. If the Vikings score points, then there will be opportunities on kickoffs for the Bills to get great field position. Even if this is a defensive game and there will be a lot of punting, field position will be a key factor, and I believe that even though the Vikings are 3rd in giving up punt returns, they themselves are not good in the return game, so they could also be backed up in field position.

This will be the 2nd game for Vikings new head coach, Leslie Fraizer. We don't know much about him, but what we saw last week, there was a more balance attack, with more running plays than passing plays. That's how the Vikings offense should look like. The defense also showed up with 4 sacks, 4 hits on the quarterback, 5 pass deflections and 5 tackles for losses. Chan Gailey, the head coach of the Buffalo Bills, always has his team in games. The only issue is finishing games. Because of that, the advantage goes to the Vikings coaching staff.

My NFL week 13 picks 2010 on the Buffalo Bills vs Minnesota Vikings Sunday afternoon match-up are out. If the Vikings want to win this win, they have to do what they did last week, and run the ball more. We don't know if Adrian Peterson is going to play, but that shouldn't matter with their game plan. They still have a good backup in Toby Gerhart to fill in. Even though the record says differently, the Bills have been in pretty much every game. They have a rising star in receiver Steve Johnson who has been unstoppable these past few games. Look for him to have another one of those games against a very vulnerable Vikings secondary. The Vikings can get to the quarterback, so 2 things will happen. Either Ryan Fitzpatrick will see the one on one matchup with Steve Johnson and will throw the ball up for him, or they will do a lot of screen passes with Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller. This can be a game that the Bills could pull off, however I do believe that at the Bills will somehow blow the game like what happened last week against the Steelers. I will predict the Vikings winning, but the Bills will keep it close, 16-14.
