Nikolai Valuev is a professional heavyweight boxer from Russian. He was the first professional heavyweight boxing champion. Valuev held the WBA title between December 17, 2005 and April 15, 2007. He goes by the name "The Russian Giant". Nikolai Valuev is also the largest and heaviest champion of all time; having a height of 7'0" and a weight of 330 lbs.
Nikolai has fought and beaten the likes of Otis Tidale, Paolo Vidoz, Bob Mirovic, Gerald Nobles, Attila Levin and John Ruiz. His most recent fights were Title defense bouts against Owen Beck, Monte Barrett and Jameel McCline. Nikolai received the Title from Ruiz on December 17, 2005, which was a highly controversial twelve round majority-decision. He recently defended his Title against Monte Barrett on October 7th and Owen Beck on June 3, 2006. Nikolai dominated the fight, knocking him out in the third round.
