With a record of 4-2-2, Rule has placed in all seven starts thanks to a seasoned pedigree. His father Roman Ruler did well in 2004-2005 but his uncle, Funny Cide, from his mom that has greatness running through his blood. With a 3-1-4 record out of 12 starts, Funny Cide brought in 1st place finishes in the 2003 Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes as well as a 3rd place finish in the Belmont Stakes. In his most recent race, Rule came in third at the Florida Derby with John Velazquez at the realm, unfortunately Velazquez is set to ride favored Eskendereya in the Derby. In February, Rule finished first in the Grade 3 Sam F. Davis.
