PAC 10 Conference - Stanford Cardinal Preview
Stanford should easily top the 25 PPG they churned out a year ago with 10 starters back on offense. Look for either QB to get plenty of protection as the fully intact O-Line boasts a combined 122 starts. HC Walt Harris has been known to produce solid WR's in the past, and he's got a super dynamic duo on hand with Mark Bradford and Evan Moore. It's one of the best tandems in the PAC 10.

The defense only returns six starters from last season, and loses five of their top eight tacklers. There is some new talent on board, so hopefully it gels and eventually becomes a solid compliment to a much-improved offense. Special teams loses its four year starting kicker and top return man, so look for the Cardinal to drop statistically in this department. Head Coach Walt Harris did a terrific job coaching the Cardinal last season leading them to a 5-6 overall mark. However, their schedule is brutal and they have to play seven of their 12 games on the road this year. Look for Stanford to be competitive once again, but most likely come up just short of a bowl invite.
