The Chiefs beat the Rams 16 - 12 for their first preseason win, but it wasn't pretty. Trent Green went 8 of 12 for 100 yards. Wide receiver Eddie Kennison had 5 receptions for 52 yards and Samie Parker had 2 receptions for 44 yards.
Frerotte led the Rams 11 of 18 for 135 yards with one touchdown. Fisher had 13 carries for 36 yards and Collins had one reception for 54 yards with one touchdown.
