-110The Allstate Sugar Bowl is an annual American college football game traditionally played in New Orleans, Louisiana on New Year's Day. The bowl is one of the original members of the Bowl Championship Series and as such is part of the BCS title game rotation which affects the date the game is played. The Sugar Bowl last hosted the BCS championship game in 2004. Starting in 2007, the BCS Championship game will be a stand alone event one week following the New Year's Day games. In the BCS alignment the bowl will host the Southeastern Conference conference champion unless they are involved in the national championship game.
