Tim Cahill is one of those brilliant players who always finds the right holes and then deliver the goods. He is currently one of the most underrated players in world football. Cahill was born in Sydney, Australia in 1979. He started playing in his teens with Sydney Olympic juniors and then onto Sydney United. He soon left at the age of 16 to pursue his dream of becoming a professional footballer in England. In 1998, Cahill started playing for Millwall, the South London Club, making over 200 league appearances. He broke out in the 2003/04 season by scoring 11 times including the winning goal in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United. After that performance, Everton took him on paying him around 2 million euros. He continued performing great as a one-of-a-kind goal-scoring midfielder. He scored 12 goals for Everton, securing them a top four place. His international career is also very impressive. He was named Oceania Player of the Year for 2004 and had great performances at Athens Olympics and the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup.

Now Cahill is focused on the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He ended the qualifying competition as top scorer in the Oceanian Zone with seven goals. He then helped his team make it through a tough group F first round. Let's see if Cahill and Australia can keep it up!
