World Cup Betting Highlights - Semi-final Match Germany vs Italy
Tuesday, July 4th was the first semi-final match of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Italy beat Germany 2-0, minutes before the end of double-overtime. Fabio Grosso drilled a left-footed curl right past a diving Jens Lehmann, breaking the 0-0 draw. Substitute Alessandro Del Piero sealed the deal for Italy's first World Cup Championship Finals since 1994. It was a great defensive match for both teams. Italy goalie Buffon made several spectacular saves. Jens Lehman also made some great saves from shots by Francesco Totti and Gianluca Zambrotta. German stars Lukas Podolski, Michael Ballack and Miroslav Klose all played well but could not convert any shots. Italy will now play in the 2006 FIFA World Cup Finals on Sunday, July 9th live at 2pm EST from Berlin. Check out the
