Free NFL Picks Week 13 - Bet Saints vs Bengals - Sunday, December 5th, 1:00PM ET FOX

The week 13 NFL football picks on the 2010-2011 pro football betting season are out on the New Orleans Saints vs Cincinnati Bengals Sunday afternoon match-up. This Sunday the New Orleans Saints head to Paul Brown Stadium as a 6 1/2 point favorite to battle the Cincinnati Bengals.

The New Orleans Saints offense vs the Cincinnati Bengals defense favors the Saints. The Saints are 4th in the league in yards and 9th in points, while the Bengals are 16th in yards allowed and 27th in points allowed. The one thing that the Saints are not good at is running the ball. They are 24th in rushing yards. But the Bengals are 23rd in rushing yards allowed. Look for the Saints to establish some running game. Also the Bengals can get turnovers, 10th in interceptions, and the Saints have been throwing picks, which is why you might see more running with the Saints. Plus the Saint dangerous runner Reggie Bush is back, which means more throwing space for the Saints quarterback Drew Brees. The week 13 NFL football picks advantage goes to the Saints.

The Cincinnati Bengals offense vs the New Orleans Saints defense also favors the Saints. The Bengals are 22nd in yards and 21st in points, while the Saints are 7th in yards allowed and 6th in points allowed. The Saints are dominant in passing defense, 3rd in the league in fewest passing yards. The only way for the Bengals to have a chance is by running the ball, even though they are 25th in rushing yards. If there's one bright spot for the Bengals, they don't give up so many sacks and the saints don't get a lot of sacks. maybe the Bengals' quarterback Carson Palmer will have some time to throw the ball, but the Saints get a lot of turnovers as it is. NFL football picks advantage goes to the Saints.

The special teams also favor the Saints. The Saints are 13th in kickoff return average and 20th in punt return average, while the Bengals are 23rd in kickoff return average and dead last in punt return average. The Saints are 19th in kickoff return average allowed and 27th in punt return average allowed, while the Bengals are 28th in kickoff return average allowed but is surprisingly the best team in fewest punt return average allowed. That might be the one bright spot for this team. Maybe they can pin the saints deep in their own red zone. The only reason why the Saints are only 20th in punt return average is because Reggie Bush has been out. Now that he is back, expect the average to go up. Since the Bengals might be punting the ball a lot, it might not matter that they are the best in that category. The week 13 NFL football picks advantage goes to the Saints.

I don't think there's any question who has the better coaching staff. Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis doesn't have his team under control. It seems like the people who are running this team is Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco. On the other side, Saints head coach Sean Payton has his team clicking at the right time. Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has done a great job with this defense. Also, it does help when you have a coach on the field as well, and that's what Drew Brees is. Advantage goes to the Saints.

My week 13 NFL football picks on the New Orleans Saints vs the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday afternoon football game is out. I don't think there's any way the Bengals can do anything on offense. They might get a big play from Terrell Owens, but I don't see anything else they can do. The only way to have a chance is by running the ball even if they are not running well. The Saints might have a field day in this one. They are going to run the ball effectively which will set up the play action pass for a big play. You might see many of those big plays. The Saints win this one easily, 34-17.
