Week 14 BCS Standings

The Bowl Championship Series (BCS) beagan in 1998 to determine the national champion of college football while maintaining and enhancing the bowl system. The poll is a formula consisting of the associated press and coaches' polls, computer rankings, strength of schedule and performance against other top teams. The BCS has become the showcase for the sport.

We saw quite a few big moves in the top 25 this past week. The USC Trojans took over the second spot and Michigan moved to the third spot. Florida stayed put in fourth, however LSU jumped to fifth from tenth along with Louisville moving to sixth from ninth. Wisconsin moved up one spot to seventh and Boise State jumped three spots to 8th. Arkansas dropped to 9th from 6th and Notre Dame dropped to 10th from 5th. Oklahoma moved up three spots to 12th and Virginia Tech also moved three spots to 14th. West Virginia dropped all the way from 7th to 15th and the Texas Longhorns dropped from 13th to 19th. Tennessee moved up to 16th from 20th and Wake Forest moved up to 17th from 21st. Nebraska moved up two spots to 20th as well as Brigham Young to 21st. Georgia Tech dropped to 22nd from 16th. The Boston College Eagles, Clemson Tigers and the Penn State Nittany Lions all came off the list. Texas A&M, Oregon State and Hawaii all joined the top 25 list!
